Odds and Ends

Retaining walls below the deck are finished right before our first snowfall of the year:

Rock is added in the ditch north of the service road to provide erosion control. Unfortunately not quite complete before snow!

Tasting room west wall gets molding around windows

Office/food prep area tile completed

Front Entry

The stone work is finally done as the front columns are now complete! The entry way has taken shape and we finished off the remaining siding & got that painted..  One door has been stained (as we are nearing winter, days warm enough to stain & paint are a premium!). The other door will get replaced as the company installing them damaged it. The positive is that we can stain that one inside before they hang it.  You can also note the new sidewalks left and right of the vestibule.

We are now trying to finish up some odds and ends outside in the remaining nice days we have. Forecast for Thanksgiving is 60 degrees so we will plan our Turkey day events accordingly!

An update at last

Well it has been quite a while since my last update. Going hard at it every night until 11p has made it difficult to find the time or the energy to update the ol' blog, but here, finally are some new shots:

The front siding is now up and painted!

The stone work is also coming along:

The deck is now complete:

The back siding is also complete and the painting has begun

Grass is growing north of the building:

Inside painting of the main tasting room is complete (hopefully pictures coming soon). Just the bathrooms and office area to paint!

Finishing up the processing facility

With the countdown to harvest 2011 less than 4 weeks (thankfully it looks like this years harvest is delayed a week to 10 days due to a cool early summer), we are feverishly working to get the basement processing facility ready. The drywall is up and mudded and the painting has begun. The best part maybe that the AC is up & running!

The tall kickout:

Gluing up FRP board (wash board) for the walls where the bottling line will go:

While we are painting the earth movers were moving a lot of dirt:

And we found time to get a retaining wall in by the soon to be poured crush pad:

The Sheetrock Is Up

Progress is being made as the sheetrock crew finished up putting up the boards. Yesterday the crew came and put up the drywall corner beads and today the mudding begins.

While on the outside, this past weekend the second set of columns on the vestibule were finally added and we did some dirt moving.

Drywall Continues

Day 3 of the Drywall saw the work on the main floor completed as well as the stairwell. Quite a different look at the stairs. The crew moved to the processing facility in the basement and got quite a bit done in the basement. Things are moving along.

Here is the main level - It was getting dark when I shot the photos.

The basement ceiling/soffit work begins.

This is Richard's wine lab.

Here are some vineyard shots with the beautiful full moon.
