Inspection fallout

Two weeks ago the inspector was in for our framing inspection. Since then we have been "correcting" items on our newly created punch list like:

Adding fire blocking (the horizontal pieces closing the stud gaps in pic) to the walls that are over 10'

Adding fireblocking at drop ceiling locations

Adding fire caulking at all penetrations between floors, attic, etc.  (sorry no pic available)

Add joist hangers to all drop ceiling joists.

We have some other fun ones too we hope to finish up by the end of the upcoming 3 day weekend.

We have also had a chance to shingle half the vestibule roof and add our fire rated frames for the windows to the processing facility below.

Plus add in vineyard work and mowing!

The only one that has time for rest is Rocky!

Fun with ladders!

Siding work moved to the daunting west side this weekend. We started putting some trim up on the windows and Sunday, with the help of Richard's brother the long task of siding the west side began.

On Saturday Richard assisted the contrator on sheathing the vestibule roof and closing in the top wall hole above the vestibule. The goal for the week is to get our framing inspection.

South Side Siding Complete

After a weekend of constantly going up and down the ladders, Amy and I were able to complete the siding on the south wall of the winery. The west end was a long way up (or down depending on your perspective). Looking at the wall now, that was a lot of siding! Now it is on to the daunting west end. We did get the ledger board for the deck tacked on before the weekend came to a close so next it will be the trim on the windows and more siding.
